For those of you who understand electricity, I have a question. I have this extra Meanwell HLG-480H-C2100A driver and I want to use it to push a new QB-132 setup. Would this be a good driver to use on 8x QB-132 boards, or would it better to only go with 6x QB-132 boards? I have a box full that aren’t being used at the shop and I’d like to build a light for a 5x5 for the house. Lemme know, thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It will push 8 boards at 60w each, or you can dim it down and run 6 at 75w. Running the boards at 75w means more light, but the qb132’s are probably more efficient, ie more light per watt, at 60w. I have two qb132 setups, each running 8 boards. One runs at 600w, and the other at 480w. The 480w, 8 board setup works great for me.
