Qb advice please!

  1. Looking to upgrade my setup a bit. I am running a 4x4 with 2 old Kingbrite 240w basic boards. They have lost some brightness and cranking them up generates extra heat and pushing diodes will just degrade the boards faster...
I am looking at HLG boards to put a new light in the centre while keeping the old ones as well, and to run everything at around 60-75%.
There is a great deal on the hlg 325 max, from an official Canadian retailers, would be =290 (USD) with free shipping. The other model that could be an upgrade would be the 320 R spec but cost 150 (USD) more. Does it worth 150$ for far reds and better PAR coverage?
Any recommendations, reviews or comments will be appreciated! Thanks!

  2. The 325 Max is a better combination light in my opinion. The 320 rspec would be better for flowering. I have a few rspecs and a bspec along with the original QB260 that I believe is a 3000K spectrum.

  3. Sounds good Tim! thanks for your input. Nice complete spectrum similar to the 320 rspec but with more blue and no far red. I am gonna order the 325. I should take more time to look at journals as well.

In Canada this is Thanksgiving day so happy Thanksgiving to you and all other members. I am going to football game with familly and grand dad should be lots of fun!

  4. @Lawlerskates just finished growing in a 4x4. He upgraded from HPS to 4 QB135 fixtures. I would also go with smaller separate panels in the future. We can move them over each plant better than a single large panel. Here's a link to his journal if you're interested.

    Happy Thanksgiving day @Laucass83 .
