Putting the end of a Joint into a Pipe

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by deefree49, Dec 27, 2022.

  1. Now this is the 2nd time I've experienced this. I get near the end of the joint and because I stuck a homemade filter at the end, I dump the last bits of weed out into a pipe. This way I avoid smoking the filter.

It turns out that last bit of weed is bomb. It seems 3 times stronger than when I smoked it in the joint.

Is this imaginary or has a large amount of THC somehow become deposited on the weed near the filter?

  3. Think about it- as the smoke passes through the unburned cannabis, some of the oily THC bumps into and sticks whatever it touches - the cannabis and paper. So the cannabis becomes more potent.

Also, if your cannabis is not cured/ aged, whatever THCA is left in it will be decarbed by the repeated hot smoke going through it, which makes it stronger.

As a young hippie, almost everyone I knew saved their "roaches" for those times we ran out! lol Some folks just cut them up and rolled them, paper and all into a joint. I always preferred just using the cannabis by putting it in a pipe. And yes, hon, it can be rather potent.
