Putting Aluminum Foil To Grow;

    So my dad puts aluminum foil on his pots;
     
    that made me think,aluminum foils=reflects sun light=more light for plants=etc.
     
    For the person not able to visualize, think of the top of the pot where you can see the dirt,etc.
     
    Do a whole about how large the main stem will be. Put aluminum around that(hiding the dirt)
     
     
     
    Would htat work good?Outdoor btw.

    Aluminum foil absorbs more energy than it reflects. very counterproductive.

    but it stills reflects 55% and thus 35% if it has crinkles and shit(google :p )
     
    does the white from christmas paper work? Like you have a side with drawings and shit,the other side. All white,no lights go threw htat
