Purple Bud good?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by StaySeized, Oct 31, 2012.

  1. Ok so everyone says that purple bud is good. But Why??

  2. Because they want your money.

  3. Because purple strains are good :smoke:

    all in your personal preference.

  4. It's popular - like Kush.

It being purple has no actual bearing on the quality of the bud, though.

  5. purple does not = quality bud...
however there are some potent strains, which just happen to be purple due to genetics/growing temps.. it's completely possible to get some shitty bud that's still purple.

    purps can be deceiving.

  6. Absolutely ^

hate when people have the idea that just because its purple its gotta be super strong or have hella THC. anyone knows purple strains generally test lower for THC and more for CBD, which is why I like em.

Watch out for freezer burn, IDK how to identify it though lol

  7. I like the purple flavor. I had some orange-purple kush once and when I let a friend smoke some he immediately recognized the purple flavor and enjoyed it.

  8. It is sweeter and mild, as oppose to sourness I get from some bud.

  9. Purple has absolutely no benefit over other colored buds. It is a genetics and temperature. Why is it popular? I don't know, because smoking a purple flower is cool?

Because people are generally clueless about marijuana.

Purple bud means the plant had a deficiency, or got cold, or both, or was bred to turn purple (which means it is temperamental; I dont know what way the plants were bred but any "purple" strain is simply more susceptible to either cold, or P lockout)

Anything else, taste and smell, is simply a characteristic of the cross. It'd have the same regardless if it actually turned purple - probably be more potent too, if it didnt go purp

This is simply a result of the hybrid characteristics, and the cure. Sourness is a trait of some plants, but it can also be brought about by a "faulty" cure. ~.o some people like the sour smell, taste, but bud's I've been curing for 8+ months begin to sour - Its MOLD!(Very very small amount; not enough to be visible, individual microscopic colonies that don't aggregate until way later) IOW - watch your sour buds if they're a dark green

purple bud is good only if your a nigg er. got dat purp!

Racism is not tolerated here AT ALL - WW

  12. that was unnecessary ^

  13. Personally I noticed that the best strains IMO is light green bud and purple bud (the REAL purple bud). I'm not saying they're the best just because they're purple, but the REAL purple buds that are purple by genetics are amazing. Not because of the color or anything, but just the strains itself happen to be amazing, and the purple color is just a bonus.
