  1. Hey what's up!

This is my first grow ever so i'm kind of just experimenting.

this is what it looks like 1 week since I planted my germinated seeds.

I only have one spot to grow so I cant have a veg and a flowering room at same time so I hope to get at least one female.

the soil i'm using is entirely potting soil and I'm afraid that it compacs and leave no air for the roots. I bought some perlite an I intend to mix it like 50-50 with potting soil when I transplant them in bigger pots.

    Is it a good idea?

    Thanks

  3. I would transplant ASAP into some nice stainable organic soil, I've made my own, bought my own, and then I bought FFOF and I loved it. No drain = no aeration = no roots = no buds.

  4. Drainable, not stainable lol.

  5. Yeah, like blam3d above me stated, get some decent potting soil like FFOF, it will save you alot of trouble in the long run. But if your budget is tight, use whatever you have now with the perlite, it will greatly help soil aeration and drainage.

  6. Hey thanks for your advice.

I just transplanted them into a 50 - 50 potting soil and perlite.

I'm soon gonna transplant them into 2 gallon pot do you guys think it is large enough ?

hard to tell if those are pistils, looks like new plant growth to me. you would see pistils forming on the inner branch nodes (preflowers) before you would see pistils forming on bud sites/tops.

heres a pic of where you should be looking,

Your using 115 watts to grow ~4 plants? That's only 28 watts per plant, this is not ideal. 100 watts per plant is"ideal" for CFLs and even then your yield will be a joke compared to a single 150watt HPS. I've tried growing with cfls in the past, had roughly ~100 watts PER plant and the yield was piteful. I strongly recommend researching a better light setup, or getting some more CFLs in there.

  16. I got 4 plants but dont know the sex yet, I plan on having only one plant into flowering.
