Hey i already have 6 4 foot flouro's on my 2 plants, but i was looking at 1000bulbs.com and they have metal halide and high pressure sodium lights that are only 25 dollars for 1000 watt bulbs and the ballasts are only 85, but will these lights work or are they different, also if they will work is there a way to make a relfector or does anyone know of a place to get the reflector/ fixture?
you will need a mogul socket and a ballast to run it. 1000 bulbs probably has reflectors, if not ebay or do a search on yahoo or google. thousands of stores to choose from.
Thanks i saw something about mogul sockets on their but im real bad about lighting and electrical terms and all that so i had no clue. But i think ill buy one of those i dont see a difference except the bulb is round not long. But you think a 1000 watt would be to high or should i go with the 400
dude that will do you wonders, and its only extra $12-15 amonth on ur dro bill,it would probably do 5 to 15 plants with a nice shade!, lol but 1000 watts would work for 20 to 30 plants and it would cost a extra $35 if you use it. But the 400 does its work, ~peace~
