so i have a rubbermaid container with 5 net pots and i want to use drip sticks attached to spaghetti tubing. simple right? well i've run into a problem.

i think the pump might be too powerful?

i have a manifold attached at the end of my 1/2 tube which is attached to the pump. the manifold separates it in to 6 lines. 5 of which i'll use. at first i had the pump in a resevoir but it would drip for only a short time and then.. nothing. the pump still was on and works fine without the manifold and spaghetti line attached.

how is this possible? it is water. it should flow harder with more pressure i feel. not stop. ideas??

EDIT: looked up pump on the web. says 581 gph. ---seems like a lot?

was like 15 bucks though from a friend http://www.thereeftank.com/compare-water-pumps/lifegard-quiet-one-2200-pump/

  2. Drip heads are always gonna clog.

No it isn't "just water" either.

    It is "soup".

That is why I ditched those things years ago and started using foggers.

  3. lol fair enough with the soup.

so what might be an easy remedy then?

i have 2 clones in it already and i've been manually watering them from the top to keep the hydroton moistened. i have the container filled with maybe 10 gallons and air pump running, but would love a way to constantly water or put them on a schedule with the pump on a timer.
