PTSD for MMJ in California?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by SpartanGrower, Oct 9, 2009.

  1. Will PTSD get you MMJ in California?

I hear from friends down there, you dont even realy need much of a medical condition,
there are some doctors that will perscribe you for something like $200-500

  2. PTSD should definitely qualify you in california, just go to your VA doctor and see if he'll give you one, if that doesnt work try Medicann

  3. Here's the drill, hon-

    1) Before you move, get a copy of your medical records that verify your condition. These can be obtained from your doctor by asking for them. Any pill bottles for your prescribed medicines (Paxil, wellbutrin, etc) should be taken with you when you go to get "legal".

    2) Find a reputable doctor (one who will be there for you in court if it ever comes to that) from this list - CA NORML Medical Marijuana Information, or you can go to the cheaper, but less reliable clinics.

    3) Get your pills, records, $200, photo ID and proof of residence together and make your appointment. ($200 is the high end price for a first visit.)

    4) Spend an hour at the doctor's office and walk out legal. It's that simple when you have a REAL condition! The "county cards" are NOT necessary- just the recommendation is ALL you need to be legal! :hello:

Since you have PTSD you should take a look at the studies and articles on it that are in my "Granny Storm Crow's list" (linked below). Then, you need to run a search on "Dr. Phil Leveque"- he is an Oregon doctor who writes a lot about PTSD and cannabis, because he has it! WWII did a number on his head and 60 years later, he still has problems with it- but cannabis helps him. He's a nice old guy, too.

  4. Weed for our soldiers sounds good, thank you.
