psychology major here .. but I'm more towards research than clinical. Also, skit... some states allow psychologists to prescribe medications, not just psychiatrists!
i'm interested in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_neuropsychology now having psychotic highs, schizophrenia has became really interesting to study
I am interested in the field of psychology as well. This semester I will be taking the basic intro courses, but I am interested in the psychology of dreams and metaphysics (positive attitude = positive physical feeling). I'm not sure if I want to go into research or clinical yet, but I'll figure that out later. I would be extremely interested in chatting with some of you folks about it. I begin classes next week.
i plan to major in psychology at university of colorado boulder class of 2014. more interested in a career towards research rather than clinical (similar to rollers). and waffles i told you this yesterday on aim. dont be stealing my career plan now. ..
lawlz not stealin dog,, im pretty divdied as of now, music or psychology altho, i also would rather do research, but there are a practically unlimted amount of things to reasearch
I had the exact same feelings going into my first year of college. However, I've decided to pursue business...for the time being, anyways. There are careers that involve both music and psychology though. Music Thereapy involves using song writing and listening to improve social development, cognitive development, self-awareness, and spiritual enhancement. It's a bona fide profession that requires the therapist to complete board certification, over 1000 hours of internship in the field, and specific coursework at a university. Check it out online. If you're in college it might be beneficial to talk to a psychology prof about it. Hell, even if you're not in school you could probably contact a professor and they would be more than willing to consult with you.
probably shouldn't post here because it doesn't contribute, but oh well. I'm a aspiring geology major.
