Psychic powers, we all possess them

Discussion in 'Philosophy' started by cannabisrevolution, Jan 29, 2015.

  1. Not many people know this, but we all have psychic abilities, such as telepathy, telekinisis, body temp control and many other abilities that we just don't know of, nor understand. Most of you reading this won't believe me, but it's true.

Here is a man who can heal with his hands by generating energy (also able to catch paper on fire)

It's been proven that mediation can control your metabolism and body temperature

We all know of Wim Hof, the iceman, or do we?

As for myself? I can fight any sickness my body catches just with my thoughts (I haven't been sick in 5 years and haven't taken any man-made medicine since then either). I can end pain instantly, unless something severe happens like my arm getting cut off, it's gonna hurt. I also have a positive outlook on life and seem to rub off on others around me. Lastly, I can control my body temperature to a degree. when I walk outside in 30-40 degree weather, while only wearing shorts and no shirt, I feel the cold and then start to warm myself up with my thoughts.
I believe it starts with the meditation. I think meditation is key in using psychic abilities.

Here's the crazy part, I believe science is in the process of discovering these psychic powers, or at least bringing it to public's attention. I think movies such as, Lucy and limitless are propaganda films to "ready" us for the "discovery" of pyschic abilities that all humans possess.

    http://web.randi.org/the-million-dollar-challenge.html

"The James Randi Educational Foundation will pay US$1,000,000 (One Million US Dollars) ("The Prize") to any person who demonstrates any psychic, supernatural, or paranormal ability under satisfactory observation."

So far plenty have tried, everyone has failed...

If everyone could do it, and those people in the videos are so good at it, why not slide in and collect the easy mill? (hint, because its bullshit)

  4. and to go off of Sam Spades' video...

a non-believer can resist a no touch attack and a believer cannot.. interesting

  5.
It's really satisfying to know that it appears impossible to effectively weaponize psyonic powers.

...unless of course you choose to believe that it can hurt you - then you're fucked.

Here are 4 or 5 episodes of a show James Randi did in the UK years ago called Psychic Investigator

people would come on and try and prove their psychic abilities...

  8. You accept that as evidence such things are impossible or?

i accept it as entertainment and watching people make claims fail...

im not one to just make assumptions and base entire belief systems off of that....and all psychics that have come forward have all been proven frauds...

ask yourself why would you even believe such a thing would exist in the first place?

  10. Accepting an entertainers publicity stunt as a challenge to science is ridiculous. Like Kent Hovinds challenge to evolution, they are not constructed with science in mind. It has nothing to do with belief, this is a scientific matter and such challenges are unscientific. In order to win the prize you have to pay all the expenses for testing, sign away your rights to the data and legal recourse. Legally speaking Randi could withhold the data, lie about/fudge the results and you could do nothing. Serious scientists wouldnt risk their name, time and money for such a bogus challenge. Not to mention the statistical requirements go way beyond what science would deem significant.

I dont understand why you would reply citing Randi's challenge as any indication either way.

  11. The challege has been around since 1964, and started as 1000 bucks...its a lot more then your saying here...

But his prize is beside the point, he's not the only one going around debunking the frauds...its been going on before Randi was born, ever hear of Houdini? He called the stuff "humbug"...and the debunking was happening before and after him...

A lot of people don't like them because they take advantage of troubled people so people look out for that...

I despise conmen, shills, frauds, and liars...

So until something real comes forward to even give credence to even believe in such "magic", there's nothing to talk about execpt exposed frauds and years of liars...

  12. Why do you think magicians are the ones that hate psychics the most?...

Because they know the skills they took years to master are entertainment and their passion and you got others that take it the step further and claim its a real power and it just makes the entire profession look bad...

They don't wanna be tied in with conmen...

  13. You've substituted one for another.
