Well... I'm bored of waiting to see if my plants are gonna explode, so here's a little info on one of my other hobbies. These are all pictures from my mushroom garden. I haven't grown for awhile, so I'm just getting back on my feet. With gusto, I note... I have about 28 jars colonizing at the moment. The first picture is of one of my PF cakes fruiting. It's B+... I'm really only doing this as a novelty and for spores, all of my cakes will be used as spawn for bulk tubs. If you look closely, you can see the first pin on the cake. There are abundant primordia forming around the casing. I think tomorrow we'll see a lot more mushrooms popping up to say hello. The second image is of a bulk test I did with another B+. A single 1/2 pint cake spawned to a casserole dish of worm castings and vermiculite. I pasteurized these in the microwave, and it seemed to do the trick. I'll be putting this little gem into fruiting tomorrow. The other pics are just a full pint PF-tek jar and my best quart of popcorn. The popcorn will be finished up pretty soon, and I'm looking forward to having some fun with it. Also there's a picture of my incubator, but it's hard to see all the jars as they're stacked vertically. I have a good mix of B+, Texas, and Ecuador incubating right now. i have a really stupid question.. how are you going to get the entire thing out in one piece with a tapered glass jar?? smash the glass?
Good point. And what made you go with such big jars. Just wondering. Ive always used the 1/2 pints i think they are.
He is using poporn so after he knocks it out of the jar I assume he is going to throw it into some sort of poo mixture and make casign so it dosent matter if it is in one peice. BTW Equador is a greta strain to grow those fruits are huge and it is a great strain to study very visual.
Just shows what i know about shrooms I'll keep watching want to know all there is on diff. techniques of growing this stuff.

Hey hows the grow going? I was wondering if it was possible to use a big jar and maybe get a better yield? also is it better to pick em at a certain time or would making them huge be better?
I just got myself some ecuador spores and am reading up before I start the grow. Popping up a chair...
