Pruning For More Buds

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Keez, Nov 11, 2011.

  1. First question:

Does leaving a clone in the vegetative room/stage prevent it from growing any larger (basically, once you put it in the flowering room, is that when it start to grow/bud)?

    Second question:

If above is true, does pruning, aka cutting growth tips over and over and over and over, which produces two new ones in the place of the one you cut, make more buds?

Why don't people just cut all of the growth tips at once let them double up, next week do the same with all of the new growth tips, etc.?

Thanks to all those who take the time to answer!

    1. no
    2. For indoor grows people do all kinds of topping, training and so on but at some point you let what you have as far as growth tips grow.

Why don't people just cut all of the growth tips at once let them double up, next week do the same with all of the new growth tips, etc.?

Because this is a wonderful and amazingly versatile plant but it isn't a machine or a math problem.
