Proper Temp For Heating Mat under Cuttings?

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by compton stomp, Jun 7, 2010.

  1. Hey guys i have a heating mat and a temp control gauge for it so that i can set the temp to what i want. What is the best temperature for cuttings? I was going to set the mat at 82 degrees. Too hot? I'll be waiting for a suggestion until i put them under my ladies so thanks to whoever can help me out!

  2. yes - i bid 80 degrees f. prob need more in winter than summer but cant hurt.

  3. I never used a heat mat, wish i did, but i guess you can't go wrong between 70 and 80%, i will also guess (and common sense), that the hotter the mat the faster the medium will dry out, so i'd keep a close eye on them for the first few days, to make a watering schedule.

  4. I have a non-adjustable one, it says it heats the surface to 10-20* over ambient air temp, so I guess it would get around 80*+ since it's in my room.
