Hey my friends. I usually always do it all outside but i want to have an experimental but serious spot this year. So my question to you is... What is the proper lighting cycle for me(northeastern USA) in otherwords how many hours of lighting versus darkness should my new wave be getting to make best results for outdoor crops?? or is this a bad idea to begin with? thanks alot!
hey im growing in nj and i have a plant growing very nicely with only 2 cfls thats it!!! im keeping them on 24/7 untill i move them outside im not that experienced but so far im loving the results
Compact Fluros (CFLs) are OK but if you want strong, healthy VIGEROUSSS plants you'd usually use High Pressure Sodium or Metal Halide lights for veg (MH are better for veg) and you'd have them on for 18 hours of light and 6 hours of uninterupted darkness...and of course, make sure it's the right time of the year to be growing ourdoors when you do take 'em outside otherwise if it's more than 13 hours of sunlight theyll revert back into veg (but u probably already know that) Another important thing when veg'ing indoors then taking outdoors is to gradually build up their sunlight, by putting them in shade for the first few days then a less sunny spot, then your final spot. This should be done over a period of a week or so to be safe, so your plants don't get UV strike (totally fucks up the leaves i know this from experience) meh...good luck hope that helps
