Proper distance for fluros

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Jonny Drama, Mar 19, 2007.

  1. I am trying to figure out, what is the correct amount of distance from light to seedlings, and all the way through for flowering. I know fluros are not the best for flowering but they will work. Thanks for help

  2. Optimal distance is 2-3in. from fluorescent to top of tallest plant all the way through growth. Answers to these kinds of questions are easily found surfing the forum btw.

  3. True, two or three inches is good. You'll be tempted to try to get them closer, since fluoros put out so little heat, but leave them at that distance. Seedlings and young clones will lose some hitpoints by being closer than that but older leaves can stand growing into the lights now and then.
