Prop 19 could be the gateway to legalization...

  1. Thinking about it, if it passes then other states will most likely try to pass something similar, Canada has always been pretty good about it so us canadians will probably start to see something similar popping up and then other countries as well until eventually it is completely legalized in most countries.

Do you think this chain reaction would happen?

Also I didn't really think this belonged in politics, but if it does please move it.

  2. People pro weed who vote against it are dumb. Like do they expect a better opening proposal?

It's not the best prop in the world, but it's a step in the right direction.

The other country thing don't matter much. Europe has pretty much proven the point.
  3. It's almost like Gay Marriage, but not.

Massachusetts and Cali were the first two states to legalize Gay marriage. Now theres Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire.

States follow after other states. So if Prop 19 passes, a few other states may have a vote on it too. But I never expect Pot to be legal in the whole US.
  4. True, there's always going to be those few that won't accept it.

  5. can someone explain to me the downsides?

the only thing ive heard on this site is vote vote vote.
