Hey guys! I just went to the local nursery and picked up something that was VERY similar, I believe, to promix. I'm just asking to make sure I could use this as a substitute to promix BX. It's called Black Gold Seedling Mix. The ingredients are: 70-80% Canadian Sphagnum peat moss, perlite, Domomite lime, and an organic wetting agent (Yucca extract.) Would this be a decent replacement to promix? Thanks guys, -Spud
Sounds like a fine replacement. I also found something similar in my area that I purchased called Berger BM1, which is 80% Peat 20% Perlite/Vermiculate. Good luck!
