Intervals just released a new EP. Get it now guys! :D

  2. Okay lads, Intervals are a amazing band. I'm fully aware. Saw them Live 6 days ago. Great fucking Experience. But with that being said, BLOTTED SCIENCE!!!!!!!! Anyone know about them? Fantastic Prog metal. Ron Jarzombek is a madman.

Here's a Video of a song he wrote specifically for the Insect scene off of King Kong!!!

The Song is in full sync of the entire scene. Ron specifically made his latest album with Blotted to make the music follow horror scenes and what not. Pretty Original wouldn't you think?

  3. I think it's really safe to say, Metal is the most progressive genre of music in the world. Which seems to see why 3/4 of the posts on here are metal bands. It's simply remarkable what bands can come up with. LONG LIVE PROGRESSIVE METAL!! Lol This Thread has soo many killer songs that I put them all in a playlist on my youtube account to just listen to while im mad high and playing Uncharted 3! Let's keep this thread going people.

  5. How do you figure? There's nothing inherently progressive about metal at all, outside of the titular 'progressive metal.'

Look at the scene my friend! I'm not just talking Prog metal here. There are alot of new type of stuff coming out these days. Like Mastodon, Their hunter release is by far way more out of the box and different to all the others. The Hunter has more of a classic rock influence to it. Plus IMO metal is the only genre of music that isn't losing their ground when it comes to originality and creativity.

Look at these guys. Hacktivist. Rap metal with prog influence.

I am fucking speechless. Definitely gonna cop their album!

  15. You know how I know this thread rules? Every song so far is excellent yet it covers the range from Yes to Meshuggah.

Riverside. Prog Metal but with a classic rock edge. Think Pink Floyd crossed with Mastodon. Could have come out last year or 1972.

  18. The Faceless. These guys are one hell of a Progressive death metal band!
I'm gonna proove to you guys why.

First album , Akeldama. Very heavy, has alot of great energy.
this is actually a instrumental track off the album. Which personally started my journey in enjoying alot more instrumental music.

Second Album, Planetary Duality. This album really shows us how creative they can be.

And to finish it off, the great new release from this year : Autotheism.
I strongly recommend you to listen to the entire album at this point. It's another form of Faceless that everyone on this thread should take the time to check out. Prog to the max!!!
