I think it's really safe to say, Metal is the most progressive genre of music in the world. Which seems to see why 3/4 of the posts on here are metal bands. Look at the scene my friend! I'm not just talking Prog metal here. There are alot of new type of stuff coming out these days. Like Mastodon, Their hunter release is by far way more out of the box and different to all the others. The Hunter has more of a classic rock influence to it. Plus IMO metal is the only genre of music that isn't losing their ground when it comes to originality and creativity. Look at these guys. Hacktivist. Rap metal with prog influence.
