    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QU9gu1AyMmI]Amarna Reign: Storms [HQ] (w/Lyrics) New Song - YouTube[/ame]

    Love the album image to Storms by Amarna Reign. That album is littered with grooves, even if it sounds a tad generic.

    Progressive metal and metalcore are my two favorite genres because of how much they've got when it comes to unique sounds and abundance of grooves.

  8. theres some metalcore that i like but i definitely agree with you about the progressive stuff...theres nothing like it haha, i cant help but start this nasty head bob when i hear those "djent" style bands.

  9. i just listened to that whole Armana Reign song, its really sick man thanks!!!!

    hahaha and ive heard all the "structures" bands before too haha (structures,uneven structure,substructure) theyre definitely groovy

  10. how about some ISIS you guys??

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sopiG1Qhlh8]Isis - Panopticon - 3 - In Fiction - YouTube[/ame]

  11. Finally, a thread of good music :D. I fucking love Vildhjarta, it sucks they're from sweden because they never tour in the US. But check out Angel Vivaldi, sick progressive instrumental.

  12. ya i was hoping people would dig this thread haha thanks for coming!!

    Vildhjarta is badass, ill definitely check out that song.

    Check out that skyharbor track up at the top if you havent yet...you like Tesseract? Dan Tompkins left Tesseract and is singing with Skyharbor now,and thankfully its really sick haha

  13. Damn i love this song

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pAX419wze_Y]The Mars Volta - Cicatriz Esp - YouTube[/ame]

    you guys should hear this off the album cuz theres 3 minutes missing from this track

    and this ones badass too fuckkkkk...soo groovy

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXy2c7rjwwA]The Mars Volta -03- Eunuch Provocateur (HD) - YouTube[/ame]

  14. One of my favorite bands at the moment.

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELLfB2d5hWU]Volumes "Through The Trees" - YouTube[/ame]

    And here's a new band that just dropped their first LP, so so so sick. The guitarists were classically trained by A.J. Minette of The Human Abstract. (If you haven't heard them, go check them out.)

  15. Volumes is sooooooo good. TCoD and VIA both have hundreds of plays on the songs in my music library.

    And sk8, I know you like TesseracT but do you know why Elliot is getting so much hate from the fans?

    I don't get it, they sound almost alike in every aspect. I think he suits the band if his tone matches that of Dan Tompkin's. Kinda like the Contortionist, the old screaming vocalist (can't remember his name) left and the current screamer sounds EXACTLY alike yet he's not getting hated on.

    Sometimes music fans piss me off. :mad:

    He sounds similar to Dan,I don't think they sound alike though....but he's still damn good.....

    That's just the way people are man,it doesn't matter who it is,people hate change....well ignorant people hate change

    I've read a lot of dumbass comments about him too,but that's just the internet man. Overall I think people support him,but the flame comments get more recognition

  17. heres some new periphery, what do you guys think?

    the 2nd one is a lot heavier, i like that i've only heard 2 songs and they're completely different types of grooves...cant wait to hear the full release
