  1. Who here loves some prog rock? I am in love with it! I'm a drummer and I love playing that shit, I only wish I knew more people into it so I could get a band going. Porcupine Tree, Gojira, King Crimson, Tool, prog rocks!

  3. Shit, ya just gotta meet some people, or move if you're isolated :D. Out here, all my friends play and we all listen to that kind of music. Just don't know a drummer that can play Lateralus in completion. Shit, we cant find anyone that owns drums lol.

  4. The only people I know that could play it on guitar are only into black metal and shit haha. I like black metal don't get me wrong but I'd rather play some prog.

  5. Me and my room mates played all 9+ minutes of Lateralus at open mic. Guitar, bass, and vocals. No drums. :(

Still sounded great, down to the pick scrapes.

  8. Plus, when I'm baked the harder proggy stuff blows my fuckin mind and I just smile. Every polyrhythm is like another clever pun.

  9. I do love me some rush

  14. I just started a tool tribute band here in Jersey. Called" spiral out". My drummer is awesome. He can play any song from tool and has the programmer for all of the sound effects. We have our first practice from April on youtube. Go under my YouTube. ToranzoM
