So im suffering some deficiency / stunted growth and possibliy an over watering problem.

So today i went to my local hydro supply store looking for the liquid seaweed product. the guy there turned me on to a different product that he said him and all his friends have used and worked with great results. so i purchased both products.

Do you think it would be wise to mix them? also which should i use?

I got EcoVie Organic Plant Food.

    And the Neptunes liquid seaweed.

I sprayed with a foliage feeding of small doses of each lastnite, took thep lants outta the light till they dried to not cause burning of the leaves from the hid n water droplets.

Read on the liquid seaweed website after that foiliage feeding isnt reccomended :(, the guy at the urban growers shop reccomended it to me... haha fml

    Wat do you reccomend man.

Also, does nuteing / feeding your plants count as a watering? i just dont want to over water them anymore if that is the case you no. i need proper nuteing instructions. i do once a week every friday. but sometimes the soils moist due to watering and ill just pout the nutes in you kno.

    Thank you guys

  2. Bumpp. hope someone reads soon.

Transplanted into 5gal pots today, i chopped my twins because they are just too small to even keep up with the growth of the others.

Checked the roots and noticed they were begining to become root bound in the 2gal pots.

Did a slight watering just to merge airpockets because im worried of overwatering also being a factor and not helping the situation at all.

Ill let the new soil soak up most of the moisture in the older soil and hopefully

    Everything works out.

Still need good info on anyone that has used the
    Liquid seaweed-
    Ecovie Organic Plant food-

Anyone willing to give some pointers/ tips
Or any info regarding past experience with the products
    will get +repped.

    Thanks all

  4. Hi ZR

Sorry, been scarce due to some medical issues with my wife....all is good now but here
is the seaweed/kelp product I use. It is a concentrated soluble powder of ascophyllum nodosum which is the go to kelp/seaweed product most sought after for horticulture.

When mixed into a liquid concentrate, then diluted, it is an economical, effective seaweed fertilizer that can be used as a drench, as a foliar spray, and also as an effective additive in compost teas.

Read the sellers rundown on it and you can see how kelp ferts are effective as foliar sprays.

As you continue to learn the organic side of growing, you will learn that you really don't need to visit the "hydro/grow" store as much, if at all. Most of the necessaries are available at the nursery or online for a lot less money.

The only time I visit a grow store anymore is when I need a lamp, or some other "hardware". I steer clear of them as much as I can. They're in business to sell product, and you can get caught up in the wild labels/extravagant claims that are put forth in the marketing side of things.

If your plants seem root bound and your roots are white and healthy, they may be needing more room to grow and transplanting is a good thing for them.

Hope you're getting it sorted out bro, let me/us know how it's going.

  5. I don't really have any advice to offer zr. I feel bad about that but sounds like your pursuing the organic side of things. I haven't gotten that far just yet. I'm workin on somethin though so I can play with organics.

Chunk seems to offer good advice though

    Good luck brohan.
