Procrastinating, maybe not that bad?

  1. So everyone says procrastinating is bad, teachers threaten you at a daily basis saying shit like, "You REALLY don't want to do this shit last minute, cause then your ass will fail and yada yada yada"

I just realized that my whole life is spent procrastinating, and honestly, I get more shit done doing it late minute then I would planning it out through the week. Anyone else feel this way? That the sudden pressure and realization that you have to get your shit done the next day, in a way, helps you get that shit done?

  2. I'm a pretty big procrastinator, but I've recently realized that I prefer to get my work done in a timely matter.

I enjoy pulling all-nighters, I'll completely procrastinate 10 page research papers, sometimes till 2 AM the night before its due, just so I can rush and get it done before 6 AM. I love the calm of night, I love the conversations that I have with fellow procrastinators. And then social media dies down, (stupidly addicted) the world gets quiet, and I just plug away at the work that needs to be done at 3 in the morning.

But lately I've noticed I feel more fulfilled if I get work done before its due, because then I can still stay up late if I want to, but I stay up late doing things I want to do, like writing music, watching TV shows, and smoking cannabis.

    Just my two cents.

  3. I used to feel this way, but eventually it will come back to bite you in the ass.

  4. You don't say so.

  5. I have never finished an assignment in advance. I always wait till the last possible moment to where i just have enough time to do what I need to do. Why spend a whole week doing something when you could just stay up late for one night doing it all?

Works out for me pretty well

  6. Yeah sometimes I work better under pressure.
Which reminds me that I have something due tomorrow but I'm taking it easy for now.

  7. In college i was a big procrastinator. Tell me how i waited till 9pm for an online 12 am submission to write a 4 page paper from scratch.

So my brain went into a frenzy of creativity. So i emailed my prof a corrupted file at around 10.50, then drove to my boys house to get the book i was writing about (he lived 50 miles round trip) and then spent allll night doing this paper. "pretending i didn't see my professors emails till 10 am next morning saying the paper is corrupted". I then said oh sorry let me send it again (sent her another corrupted file) all while franticly finishing up my paper, buying me time. then as soon as i finished i sent her another email saying prof, idk if my last submission went thru, but i am pasting my paper in the body of the text so u can read it just in case. (and also attached a corrupted file for good measure), and finally 6 pm that night, i sent her a normal file.

    I got a B+

I think if i didn't procrastinate. i would have less grey hairs.

  8. It is bad for me but i try not to do it too often. Sometimes i would spend the whole day and night studying for a exam at the last minutes and wake up hella tired and shit, not good man not good.

  9. You're lucky she didn't just fail you.

I think the problem with procrastinating is when you don't leave yourself enough time. For a paper it's fine because you can bullshit those, but not for a math test.
