problems with the buds

  1. so heres the problem, i have grown for a couple years as a hobby and the bud i get from it is nice and string but it doesnt look right. instead of compact, tight nugs, i get fluffy, airy flowers weighing very little. i am growing under a HPS 400 watt light. any help would be great cuz i realli wanna start harvesting dank nuggets. :smoke:

  2. high humidity is the biggest cause of fluffy buds, sometimes its the strain

    1. hydro, soilless or Soil & brand name of soil ?
    2. PH of reservoir solution?
    3. PH soil runoff?
    4. PH of water?
    5. Age of plants?
    6. What Fertilizer, dosages, and frequency?
    7. lites, wattage & proximity to plants
    8. Light cycle. 24/0,, 18/6,, 12/12?
    9. In light cycle how long?
    10. Room temps & Humidity or reservoir temps

  3. first off, im growing in soil. it is potting soil from a nursery. no time release ferts or anything. just nice dark rich soil.

    ph soil runoff around 6.8
ph of water going into soil is 6.8 (digital meter to adjust)
plants were in veg 1 month then about 1.5 months in flower
fertilizer is botanicare organics bloom and veg soil
flowering solution is about 1200 ppm
all water fed to plants have nutrients
18/6 for veg and 12/12 for flower
room temp is around 80 and humidity is about 50-60%

  4. get your humidity down around 40%, 60% is high if your in bud

what strain is it? thats important, it maybe a popcorn bud plant?

  5. the strain is bagseed thats as far as it can be classified. its random stuff.

  6. then you may be doing nothing wrong, other than its time to step up to some hybrid strains

  7. funny you mention that, i ordered and recieved White Whidow seeds a couple weeks ago so hopefully the yield will be beautiful. thanks for your help and its good to see u back on the city. :):smoke:

  8. white widows are fertilizer sensitive;)

If every other plant you have gets 1/2 strength ferts give WW 1/4 strength

  9. thats just begging me to ask.... are they sensitive too over fert. or underfeting them? haha you saw that coming. :smoke:

  10. the answer is already posted above;)

if your other plants get 1/2 strength, & I say give WW 1/4 strength .....

yes the are sensitive to over fert

  11. thanks for the heads up GG. thanks for all you bring to the city. keep doin wat you do. :smoke:
