PROBLEMS during final days of flowering!!

  1. I am growing one sour-diesel plant via LST with a 250 watt HPS. The hairs are all starting to change but two days ago I opened my closet and found many shade leaves and fan leaves have wilted upwards, turned yellow, dried to brown tips that crumble. I first thought this was due to my light burning the plants. I moved the light lastnight and today progression of leaf deteriation continues. I think it is potassium defiency. I use hard tap water from my bathtub and when I started to flush the nutes out of my plant is when I first had this problem.
HOW DO I "LEECH" SALT OUT OF THE SOIL BEFORE ADDING A N-P-K FERTILIZER?:smoking:

  2. How fara long are you? It is normal to get yellowing leaves late into the flowering period. That is just the plant using the energy it would supply to the fanleaves and giving it to the buds instead. As long as you are close to the end of your grow you should be fine.

If you really want to end the yellowing, give a dose of high N fertilizer and it should slow it down. But that won't really do much to help considering you just flushed...

  3. you would flush it with pure water to rid the excess salt buildup, with twice the volume of water as dirt in the pot. but yellowing is normal at the final stages. it's the plant using up the last of the nutes in the leaves. if your in the final days (like two weeks or less left) then don't feed it anything. flush it, and let it finish without water or nutes.

  4. thanks guys, I will continue n as planned!
