I have 2 plants growing side by side under my light and i move one into the closet for its 12 hour dark cycle but the other is still in veg. (i got bored and forced one of the plants into flowering early and left the other in veg.) but the time when they were both under the light they were side by side. what im asking is if the plant that is still in veg. is male and the flowering plant is female will the flowering plant end up with seeds? from what ive read you cant tell the sex until u send it into flowering so i dont know if the veg. plant is male or female. am i making sense? thanks for any advice in advance
yes its possible that one of your plants might be male since you appear to not know sex... i'd keep them separate if possible... or you could have no plants
but its not always bad to have a male if u end up with a male try and make ur own strain!!!! then u would be super happy if it came out to a famous strain
Until the potential male plant begins to flower, there is no danger of it pollinating your female plant. You can keep them right next to each other while you determine the sex. Good luck.
ok thanks. yea i forced the one plant into flowering when it was only like 6 inches tall...i know it was a bad choice but i was bored. i just harvested it and i'd say theres maybe 4 grams on the plant...lol...but as this was my first grow im not too upset with that. it was bag seed and grown in soil from outside my apartment complex with only ash for nutes while it was in veg. and then nothing after that. so i know once i get proper soil and nutes i can do a lot better. also the light was from an aerogarden so i dont know exactly how good of a light that is.
