Problem With Seedlings - Pics

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by DRAXXX, Jul 31, 2012.

  1. Hey, First proper grow here.

My seedlings are about 4 days old, and are stretching like crazy now, but don't even have an leaves yet as such.
Should i be putting them under my blackstar LED, Or leaving them alone still in the dark, Making a brace to keep them upright or something else?

    Thanks

  2. I would have had them under lights 3 days ago

  3. Well the reason i didnt, as tons of people have said not to put them under the lights until they have a true set of leaves... So many Contradicting Posts on here >.<

So are you saying i should shove them under my blackstar right now? Sure its not too powerful for them?
    Cheers

  4. yea, fire up whatever you're going to use for veg

that actually may be why it hasn't popped it's leaves out yet, it's still waiting for a light source

  5. It is stretching because it's looking for a light source, and nothing has appeared because it's still looking for a light source.

Get them out of the dark closet and under some lights.

  6. Alright cool, we'll see how it goes.

  7. Unfortunately, common sense isn't so common. Out in the 'wild' the sun doesn't wait, so why should you?

The internet is full of bullshit. It's full of people repeating bullshit and since we rely on multiple sources, if they are all bullshit....well you get the point.

  8. As soon as you see anything green on a seedling, it needs light.

If they are stretching, they should have more light.
