Problem with my mother, 2nd opinions?

  1. Hey there,

I've got a problem with my mother. She's been growing since about mid-december. She is about 3 1/2 feet tall. growth in between the bottom and top is small and curling. To me it looks like over fert. The thing is I haven't given this plant much ferts. I've done it about 4 or 5 times maybe, its water all other times. I've got some pics here so if anyone has an opinion about what may be goin on, let me know. Your input would be helpful. Thanks to those who reply...

Also, i'm pretty sure I need to transplant to a bigger pot now as well, but i don't see roots all over the sides like i've seen in other pics, but the bottom is covered. I'm just waiting on some soil and a bigger pot.

Other pics are of my flowering plants, 3 weeks since putting them 12/12...they are about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks flowering...5 or 6 weeks to goooo..................these including the mother are skunk#1

  2. looks like nitrogen toxicity "the claw"

  3. Yes, I agree Ganja however, the same thing happened to me and I was giving mine enough nitrogen and they were pretty big and quite root bound in 8" pots. Therefore, I have decided that the over N claw and rootbound leaf looks very similar. Transplant to something bigger and it should stop or just leave them be and live with it. I don't think it will really effect the plants general health.

  4. yea, personally I felt it was dut to pot size more then a fert problem just because of how much fert its been given (not much) and because the pot it technically too small for the plant size (by rule of thumb). I will either wait for a bigger pot and soil and see if it recovers after a week or so.....OR....I will cut as many clones as i can from it (25+) and then kill the plant as its getting too tall for my closet and it wouldnt be able to grow much longer in there (month or two maybe) before it gets too tall. Then I will just grow a clone or two to be new mothers and give some of the clones to buddies and keep some for myself to flower in a month or so.

  5. Yeah sounds good.
Since you have height restrictions you can just keep in that pot and use it as a mother indefinitely. I had a mom in a two gallon pot for about 6 months and it could have stayed in there as a mom for a lot longer than that.
