probably a simple ph question

    hi guys. distilled water is perfect ph, 6.5 i believe so no need to fix. when nutrients are added though, ph drops to about 5.5. way too acidic? is it imortant to raise ph after adding nutrients? thanks for help if any.

    Yes ..... You need to test and adjust for pH AFTER you have added your nutes.

    thanks. i really appreciate the input. im now realizing ph is more important than originally thought. another quick question. is there a general rule for raising or lowering ph? as far as how much up or down to add per gallon. thanks again people.

    Enough for it to get in range? Not to much for it to go under/ over?
