Probable Cause

  1. How is the odor of weed probable cause to search a car? People have different scents and what if my air freshener happens to smell like weed to an officer? Or what if he just claims to smell weed? How in the fuck is this allowed to happen?

  2. Because the smell of it in the air means there's a high probability its in the area. Therefore making a probable cause

    Pretty much.

Every time I was pulled over with that as probable cause I had just smoked 30 minutes to an hour prior.

When the cops that pulled me over never brought up the smell of marijuana, I hadn't smoked.

I realize there's dirty cops. I've had my share, but never when it came to probable cause due to the smell.
