Yes it is, revolutionary. Soon we will have replicators and such! Not to far from it anyway lol. Now I think this is a good idea. If there must be guns, I am for proliferation of them. This is the best step towards that. Good stuff.

3d printers can have many different applications, they did a show on the History Channel a while back that is worth checking out if you have any interest in it. inb4 statists saying we need moar regulation.

Open source firearms? The advancement of technology is fascinating. The prototypes may not have a long shelf life, but give it several years.
I would never suggest prohibiting this from happening ( although they will) but i can;t help but consider the type of people who happen to find one time use to be beneficial ......... Overall though ... I like this idea of using the freedom of information we have over the internet to proliferate anything.

Good article, bad source. Im not sure if a plastic gun would explode when fired or not. Can it print RPGs? If this works there will be piles of piles of new 3d printing legislation.
I've been watching this technology for a couple years , even looked into getting one myself. The printers are very expensive , but the scanners are even more so.
I've been watching it for a while! This is great. I wouldn't be surprised you see these printers in wal-mart for sale in 10 years..
