I've heard of the benefits of Molasses, and recently I've heard great things about Agave syrup, leading me to wonder about Prickly Pear Syrup. Supposedly it's got a ton of beneficial things for humans, I'm guessing there's some beneficial plant stuff in there too, but I have no clue. Anyone have any info on this?
chalupas, Try to use prickly pear nectar if you can find it. While the prickly pear syrup could be used as a carbohydrate source for a compost tea, the syrups are generally made with regular sugar and prickly pear juice. Prickly pear nectar is typically 99% pure with it's own sugars and is a better choice. HTH chunk
