hi guys i just recently put my plants into flower 12/12 with a 400 watt hps.. the plants r bout 2 months from seed. I noticed already that there is a preflower starting.. and i believe its a male preflower on all 3 of my plants.. ima b so mad if it is.. this is my first grow but iv done a good job iv got like 12 tops on all the plants.. is it possible to detertimine sex at day 3 of flower?
You should have seen female preflowers prior to going 12/12, provided that you let the plants grow for at least 5 nodes or so. Are you sure that you correctly identified the male preflower? What genetics are you using? A picture would be useful in helping us verify that it is actually a male preflower. I have never seen male preflowers on a female plant. Anyways, you should be able to determine sex BEFORE switching to 12/12. I will say that I have seen new female preflowers that look like male preflowers before the pistils shoot out.
