It's really impossible to say with just the pics. Expect like 25% of what it weights wet I've always been told. For instance: this cola I just chopped weighs in at 103.3 grams wet, so I expect about an ounce off it. It is difficult to tell but 1/4 to 1/3 The wet harvest day weight of the bud. Remember though, it's just the weight of the bud not the big trunks many leave on. Like the poster above, once that bud is dry and he cuts out that log he probably won't have the weight he thinks. His wet weight includes that big ol stem and the moisture retained in it. Theres atleast 4" of stem according to the tape measure without any bud at all and a pretty hefty stem right up the middle. Weigh bud as you would buy bud, no logs. I don't know about you but I would be pissed if I bought a bag and it had big 4" chunks of bud barren stem and a pencil size stem attached to the bud.
Yeah I considered the weight of the stem. I cut off a 2" portion and it weighed in at a massive 1.2 grams. Extrapolate for the rest of the bud and you've got a whopping 8.4 grams of stem before moisture loss. Not trying to ridicule you by the way, simply pointing out the error with actual facts. 20% of wet weight. oh and if you think there is only 8.4g of stem there you are out of your mind. i am gonna guess about 50g of flower there. No way thats an oz my dude....

Don't know why it posted so much. I'm not busting on you man. It looks great for your 1st grow but you got your head in the clouds. Enjoy that feeling, reality will set in soon enough. Now you got some trimming to do, take that time to chill out Maybe where you come from ounces come with a big branch down the middle.....i would be pissed
When it's dry I'm going to post a picture of the weight to show you. If you think that bud is fluffy you should get your head checked bud; it's dense asf. I've been calm this entire time. You're making assumptions on a cola that you haven't seen and felt the heft of. I've been smoking for over 20 years so I'm no beginner despite having just harvested my first plant. I showed you a picture proving the stem weighs next to nothing. I've now weighed 2 separate 2" slices which were more or less the same at 1.2 and 1.3 grams. Is that not proof enough? Are you telling me that the stem would get heavier as it gets smaller? The stem would be shrinking going towards the top of the bud, not getting heavier. Edit: of course the final weighing will be trimmed bud though. Still saying it's going to be an ounce. Let's see the weight of the bud? Hell leave on the log. That picture doesn't prove anything other then what that piece weighs. I never said how much the stem weights. When you come back with the dry weight chop that log though. Then come back after a couple weeks cute too. Let's see that minus the log You keep avoiding the 1 question that will solve all this. Do you buy bags with branches like that in it? I mean if that's how bud is sold around you, that sucks bro. I would be ticked but if so I would then understand where you're coming from
Check the edit. Bud comes trimmed here for sure. I'm simply saying that the stem isn't making as big a difference as you're saying. At 1.2-1.3 g/2" it would weigh 8.4-9.1g for the same size stem to run the entirety of the bud, which anyone who smokes knows the stems get smaller as the bud goes on, meaning it should weigh even less.
