  1. How old do you have to be to have one. over 18?

Also, how do you add money on them?

  2. No you can get pre-paid credit cards, you put money on them, and buy shit.

  3. The pre-paid visa's at CVS, I'm not sure on age. I'm 18 so I'm not quite sure. You just give them cash, they swipe the amount, and you have a card to use

  4. Aient never heard of em.

    Dosen't make sense.

Credit cards are for buying things when you dont have the money, Then paying interest on it which is why they work.

Now you'll pre-pay it and still pay interest or what the hell?

    Dont make no sense.

    Get a debit card.

  5. So u can buy shit online...

  6. Its a lot easier then a credit card, its not all complicated. You buy the card and give them a minimum amount of cash and they put it on the card, and when you get low you just bring it back and repeat. You can check your balance and stuff online. Im pretty sure thats how it works lol

  7. There is no interest on pre-paid credit card... mainly because, as you mentioned, it would make no sense and no-one would buy into it...

    :D

  8. Yeah, I've heard of those. Same thing as a debit card, except you buy them at the store instead of having to go through a bank or something. No interest or anything involved. I see no reason you gotta be 18 for them, although I'm wondering why you'd be asking...

  9. Haha damnit KSR, we need to pull you from the ghetto for a day, lol. :D

You go to store, Put money on it. This way, You can swipe away/order things online. It AUTOMATICALLy takes the money of it. A credit card that acts as a debit card, but without the bank account.

    Get it? lol.

  10. Lol, I'm round the burbs a couple times a week usually, But shits pretty hood in the 'burbs' haha.

But yeah i know whasup now.

I jus aient never heard of the shit before.

  11. Seriously just get a bank of america debit card...all debit cards and prepaids are either 18 or (some prepaids or debit with cosigner are 16)...

  12. what if someone gets your credit card number, and they max the remaining funds in your account. I've got a prepaid one for many reasons like that and ordering online. Theres some charges you pay but its your money. There would'nt be an interest rate on your cash lol.

  13. yea, if you dont have a credit card and would like to buy stuff online it makes sense..

i dont see why you would have to be 18 -

  14. Parents do this, to show there kids how to handle money,:smoking: I think it good though cause it won't wreck your credit like lots of people I know. credit cards are for when your broke, but if you miss a payment and the interest rate is 23% shit how will you every pay it back, doing the least amount of payment you can,

  15. Happens all the time. It's happened to me twice in the last 3 years. They got access to my bank account. My credit union caught it both times before any damage was done.

Pre paid card can't be traced. They don't leave a paper trail. Most have a $50 max., which sucks.

Just a safer way to shop online.

  16. There is no interest, you're not getting billed.

They are great, I love them. Not sure where to get them, as I usually recieve them as gifts, but I know it's alot easier than credit cards and cash. I had some Visa and american express, which can be used almost anywhere. Say you're going to a concert and don't want to bring cash and hold on to change, card is perfect, it holds change for you.
