I have been offered an amazing job, that I'm very excited about. Only issue is, it requires a pre-employment drug screen. I stopped smoking marijuana 11 days ago, but know it will still be in my urine as I'm a very heavy smoker. Last time I quit smoking it took 99 days for my urine to be clean; no joke. So I've got some clean piss with a lil help from my friends today (Sun 12/22). Put it in the refrigerator within 30 minutes of getting it. The issue is I don't know exactly when the drug screen will be yet. It could be tomorrow, or on Thurs or Fri after the xmas holiday. I have been researching this for DAYS and there is no consistency online as to the timeframe that refrigerated urine (not frozen) is good for. The timeframes I've seen vary from 24 hrs to 30 days, which is a BIG difference. Will the Urine sample I currently have in the fridge still be good if have to wait until Fri (12/27) to take the test? My friend had given me another sample last wk when thought I may have to take it then. It sat in the fridge for two days and had separated at the bottom. I read online though it should clear up once at room temp. So I tested it before throwing it out, by warming it and it did clear right up; no pungent smell. I've also read that microwaving is not a good idea because it will contaminate the sample. My plan was to heat it a lil warmer than needed and stick it you know where with the cupid device 30 min to an hr before the test to give it time to adjust to my body temp. I've tested this method with water several times and temp comes out to 92 - 94 on strip each time. I invested in a cupid device and have practiced over and over with water, so feel confident with that. But I've also read some pre-employment drug tests are supervised, which I thought was illegal unless like working with kids, DOT, paramedic, fireman, law enforcement, or handling firearms. So seeking legitimate advice and suggestions please, especially related to if the urine will still be good after in fridge today (12/22) til Thurs or Fri (12/27), reheating process, and if pre-employment drug screens are supervised or not when not one of the above mentioned occupations.
