Hi everyone quick question. Im using bottled nutrients every other feeding my plants are 5 weeks old and the ppm is 550 with a p.h of 6.8 does that sound about right? Also I'm using 3 gallon smart pots how much would you feed these at 1 time 1 litre a plant? Thanks!! Sent from my SM-G960W using Grasscity Forum mobile app
They look ok color wise but 550 is ok for this size. It depends on your light intensity. The more the light intensity and bigger the plants the more you nute. This is my guide in general. Small plants clone transplants 250-500 ppm, 600-800 ppm medium, larger veg plants 800-1000 ppm full flower 1000-12000 ppm. Depends again on your system and if you are in soil or inert medium.
3 qts to 1 gallon per day in a 3 gallon bag.. Most find no benefit and some possible harm from the straight water, due to jumping ppm? Then, a lower ppm can be used at every watering.
Most of these fertilizers are set up so 1/4 tsp dry or one tsp liquid is full strength at about 600ppm. For my autos, I drop the ppm for flower. Something like 440ppm for veg and more like 350ppm for flower. That is for bare minimum keep em alive growing under good light. In optimum conditions in 5 gallon bags 1200ppm and I still can't keep up. Almost all problems are caused by too much, especially above 600ppm. Discovering how little you need is much more rewarding.
alot of variables there. im running 8 3gal fabric pots atm. im wk3 of flower right now. im using between 6-7 gallons every other day for all plants together. i dial my ppms in depending on what my runoff was the previous watering. i usually water at 600ppm max, then go with around 200ppm the next two waterings. like i said though....i base all numbers on runoff reading....which arent exact but keeps me in the ballpark. different strains like different things also. towards the end of flower i can sometimes feed 500ppm or more every other day. i like to let my pH fluctuate some as long as i stay between 6.3-6.8. honestly i hover between 6.4-6.7.....thats how ive achieved my best results. alot of trial and error also. some ive knocked out of the park and others i know i couldve done better. best of luck.
