PPM/PH/ lockout issues

  1. What’s up everyone. I’m stumped and need some advice. So I started with roots organic soil and I’ve been using their nutrient line. I’m at week 9 right now and I started flushing them with distilled water.

I just got a Ppm meter the other day and I’ve been experimenting.

Tap water came out to 180-200ppm with a 7.4ph

And so then I added my ph down liquid and the ppm skyrockets to 3000. Wtf!?

I’ve been dealing with nutrient issues ever since I switched to 12/12. It’s some sort of lockout or something. I thought it was my tap water but now it seems to me that it’s something with my ph liquid. I don’t see how my plants are alive if I’ve been giving them water and nutes with that ppm that high like that
