I am looking for a good meter that detects ph as well. Is this a good one at a good price? [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Hanna-Instruments-98129-Conductivity-Tester/dp/B002ZG8L58/ref=sr_1_3?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1296002574&sr=1-3[/ame]
Some of the most highly rated meters at the hydro shop I work at are Hannas. I use the Hanna checker which is solely ph. Combo meters tend to be touchy and not last as long. Do you mix your nutrient gallon by gallon? or a large 20,50,100 gallon reservoir?
With such a small reservoir a ppm meter is not as important. Having a ppm meter helps, but if you are mixing 3.5 gals with under 4 products your ppm should be fine. If you have the extra money to drop go ahead, if not get a Hanna Checker and focus on keeping your PH in check.
