Ppm low

  1. Hey guys growing in coco, iv been slowly upping my nutes because young. Iv been giving 250ppm to small clones.

When I check the run off its not giving any reading is that a indication to up the feed. Have they really taken every piece of nutrient I gave them? Anyone else heard of this happening

  2. That doesn't sound right. are you saying its reading zero? If so, haven't seen that ever.

  3. Yeah no reading at all. I'm using the bluelabs truncheon. Legit maybe 4weeks old. Gives me readings from res and other grows I have. 250 from res checking run off from one plant and its not giving a reading. I thought it was odd to have no reading but put it down to it taking all the nutrient content. So it's working what am I suppost to do now lol

  4. Wow thats really odd! Kind of stumped here.

  5. Ppm still pre low I'm slowly bumping It up. I'll go for 350 ppm and let you know what happens. Unless anyone else can chime in with answer.

Makes sense this could happen the ppms are low and the plants do take the nutrients, I guess it's possible right?

  6. If the ppm reading on the blue lab pen is to high it won't give a reading. It just blanks out with out a number.

  7. Yeah that's good info. But the ppm going in is 250. That's impossible to be over 2k from what's goin in.

So I'll ask is it not possible for a plant to absorb all the nutes if it's a relatively low input. The ppms should be around 500 I'm still half that as I don't want to burn them.

Iv checked 2 plants out of 35 and both are giving no reading then I check some seedlings iv got and they are showing a reading. Same food and same medium. Just smaller.

  8. If you are getting reading on other planets and no reading on two I would think the gage is reading to high to give a number. Almost impossible to get a reading like distilled water.

  9. Do a test, add some of your 250 ppm to the run off you say is zero and see if it reads it, if not it's to high for a reading.
