PPM in soil too high?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Smokexbreak, Oct 1, 2018.

  1. I'm in fox farm ocean forest. Using remo nutes. I think I locked something out.

    PPM coming out was 1580.
    TDS was 3.1

I'm in the middle of week 7 of flower. Any suggestions besides the obvious flush? And is it really necessary to flush with 3 times the medium amount or can I get away with less?

I ran a gallon of sledgehammer from fox farm to break up salt build up as well as a gallon of recharge microbes to help break down the nutes.

    Thought? Suggestions?

  3. I'll have to look at my journal when I get home. I just over fed flower nutes I think.

I always ph and bubble my water. Just fed too many times. Fox farms is hot to begin with so it's a little tricky. I'm moving to a coca and dry amendments after I finish this. Fox farm has been quite a waste of time.

  4. WRONG,I use fox Hf, it’s the only thing I use
Of course you can use what you like. Your going to coco. Have you used before. You misread, you said 1580ppm coming out, and tds was 3.2 or so.
When I use my TDS meter, I am checking the solutions TDS. The reading on the TDS meter is displayed in ppm. So unless your using distilled water. Are you? Even still, Coco is not forgiving.

  5. No but I'm using Gaia green dry amendments in following MrCanuck Grows grow to the T. Except I'm using QB's

Have you had any nute burn on young plants in just happy frog? I've been using FFOF mixed for a year now and it seems to be my only complaint.

  7. I was feeding every other watering so every 6-8 days or so. starting at a quarter strength last dose was half strength and it freaked. This was the first time using the flushing agent. I probably should have used it more often throughout the grow.

  8. I use mine between every schedule switch . I follow a tea feed feed schedule and very rarely do I not use some type of nutrient so when your doing it that way its important to at least use the agent every 2 weeks or so. But depending on how your ph comes out you could just give a water to 20% run off followed by the flushing agent to 20% run off. The water will push most out of the soil and then the flushing agent will help get whatever is left without actually ridding your plant of nutrients

  12. I ran 10 gallons of water through a five gallon pot using sledge hammer and it went from 1300 ppm to 660ppm. Then i used some recharge for microbes to finish off the remaining nutrients before i add 10 more gallons next feed. Almost to harvest.
