ppfd last two weeks

  1. Ok, the guy who makes my lights for me with the newest top end equipment. Tells me to turn the lights up to full power for last two weeks before harvest for resin production. Right now I I'm giving my plants 1000 ppfd if I turn them up to max I would be around 2000 ppfd, do you guys agree with this. Light is 288 QB 301-H with the 660 IR- v-3

  2. I'd have a hard time running my light at 75% for flower. Plus there's other ways to increase resin and trichome production towards the end of flower vs taking away a quarter of quality light for 8 weeks of flower.

I'll add the other ways consists of making the plant think it's dying I don't know how giving it a quarter more light would do that or increase production but I'm not a light guy either

Yes I went ahead and reduced my hours from 18 to 12 for the auto's to see if they produce more, my last auto run I did 13 dark and 11 light and they were fly catchers very thick resin. Because I had them in with a photo plant, I'll see if this does something. But it was also winter time so my RH was in the 40s and temperature 70 on hole grow so president production was great. But doing a run summer time isn't the same temperature in the low 80s and RH between 65 to 50 which isn't so good on my auto run this time.

  4. I run my 301's wide open from start to finish, why cut down the light? Light equals bud.
Just adjust the height of the lights.

  5. But if you can have 1000 ppfd at 20 inches away, why turn power all the way up and move lights up, I thought a plant couldn't use over 1000 ppfd without CO2 , I got a MQ-500 par meter so I know for sure what ppfd my plants are getting, but I was told last two weeks turn up to help resin production.

  6. That's too much light. I believe it could be done with near perfect inputs all which will be strain and even cultivar dependent, but the payoff will be minimal with a high risk of burning them in one way or another. I say hold the course your current light level will give excellent results.

Plants are 44 days into flowering and are still putting on size, I flushed my 20 gallon air pot today with 6.5 PH water to get rid of all salt build up in soil, then fed them 12 grams of masterblend 4 grams of Epsom salts and 3 grams of calcium and 8 grams of flower fuel mixed in 5 gallons of water. Here's a few pictures.

  8. Buds being 6 weeks and 2 days look like they could go another 3 weeks at least,100 percent afghani plant. From what I have read and pictures I have seen most indica plants harvest around 8 weeks but this girl looks like she will go longer.

  9. Looks like your doing a great job!
So you have no co2 device?
