power outage

    Because my county is doing maintenance on power lines, im not going to have power for up to 8 hrs during the time my lights are on. I have plants on 12/12 and im gonna have to alter the light schedule for this. Is it better to have a shorter dark cycle for one cycle or better to have an extra long dark cycle. Like could I have a 24hr dark period then go back to 12/12 without damage?

    bitching had that happen to me a couple of grows ago. I had 2 weeks notice so I just gradually changed there on off cycle, They seemed to handle it ok. But otherwise if its in the middle of your light cycle, leaving it go a day without light sounds best, however, I'll demure it to wiser heads on this subject..

    Thats what I figured, I have a couple days so by changing the light cycle by an hour each day they'll be off for 18 hrs so it'll be 12/18/12/12. Hopefully they'll be fine.

    Should work, I grow in hydro so it was even a bigger problem had to drop my nutrient solution prior to lights out.
