Potential Yield?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Mr. Jung, Oct 14, 2010.

  1. Hi everybody, I'd like to ask any of the seasoned growers on here their opinion of my set up and my hopeful expectations for the final yield. Overall yield is my number one priority with this grow.

Genetics: Serious Seeds Chronic; 4-5 plants

Medium: Fox Farm Ocean Forest, 5 gallon pots

    Lights
    : Veg: 250 Watt CFL (6500)
    Veg Duration: 3-4 weeks

    Flower: 600 watt HPS system

Environment: 56x56x78 Grow Tent, fully ventilated.

Nutes: Full line of Fox Farm.

My expectations: This will be my fourth grow, but the first of which that will be done with the new set up and strain (Serious Seeds Chronic). I chose Chronic because of its reputation as being a heavy yielder while still maintaining quality. I'm hoping to yield at least 12oz. (336g) from this set up if not more. Is this a realistic expectation to have? Any veteran growers out there your input is appreciated, Thanks a lot guys!

  2. If it's your fourth grow than you should be able to determine what your yeild should be. Yield depends upon several factors. Try thinking for yourself.

  3. I'd say 10 to 20 lbs

  4. Charon, I was simply asking peoples opinion on my setup. Think for myself? It's a setup and a strain I have never grown before, therefor I cannot assume the final outcome. I would assume though, that veteran growers could give me a ballpark estimate based on the information I gave them. Take your condescending attitude and get out of here. People like you never have and never will positively impact an online community such as this one. People like you are a dime a dozen. To anybody who has some actual helpful input on my set up your responses are appreciated!

  5. Iv never had grow those befor .I would say if you top a couple times and veg for like 4 or 5 weeks you could get close to that. I pull 6 to 7 oz of my 400 watt lamp with some cfls for side light. Good ass smoke to nice and thick buds tirics like frosted flakes

  6. I'm planning on supplementing the 600 watt with about 200-250 watts of CFL's. I'm pretty hesitant to put any more than 5 plants in my grow tent due to the fact that I've never grown Chronic before, and I've heard it turns into a beefy plant in which case overcrowding could possibly become an issue. 6-7 oz's off of a 400 seems promising though. What strain were you growing if you don't mind me asking?

  7. They were some seeds from some dank weed I had so I'm not really sure. I had four of them about five foot tall In a closet about your size top em twice . My first few grows I had like ten little ones a few big ones was a much better to work with . I clip my cfls on the bottom of the pots on some it seems to plump up the lower growth . I got some kush plant I'm gonna start soon. I would say the dank bagseeds were some sort of sativa indica hybrid of sorts the smoke is killer . Good luck

You really can't tell until the fat lady sings.....:p With the gear, nutes and soil your using you will get optimum results depending on the enviorment and care you provide. Other major factor is the strain and whether their fluffy, or dense buds.
Just an educated guess a 18-24" plant should yield around an ounce, or better of dry goodies....:smoke:

  9. I know its easy to get stars in your eyes thinking about a good harvest but I truly believe it is important to "not count your nugs before they hatch". There are so many variables in growing that can cause shit to go wrong. I just killed an Ice plant that was looking like she was gonna throw down at least a quarter pound or more due to a kink in a feed line. (just an example) lesson learned move on...sounds like u have a decent small setup, you will get out of it what u put into it so spend lots of time with the girls and they will take care of you. Good luck man!
