MMJ. 12 plants continuous grow, hydro, should i be using 3 Gal containers? or what.. 600w light or 1000w light for it. probably 8-10 flowering at a time or so.. t5 veg. open to any suggestions or ideas.

    EDIT:

I am now gathering as much information regarding different systems for max yield and/or a 2 or 4 week cycle for a harvest. rDWC?

  2. How bigs the room? If you can successfully exhaust the hot temps a 1000w (I'm assuming hps?) gives off, or you have the money for a nice cool tube set-up, then I say go with the 1000w set up.

Sounds like you want to do a SOG (sea of green) style, if you can fit 3 gal containers the should be good, I don't do hydro only soil, so I would take this advice with a grain of salt.

  3. May I ask how many plants, lights, and how much bud you pull off the 3 gal root containers? I guess a veg and flower time would give me better understanding, but you being soil is a whole nother game.

Thanks for the quick feed back.

As far as me: I plan to use a room or a tent i make, cool tube/hood of course with a fan. I am wanting to pull a plant or two off ever two or four weeks. I was leaning towards a 600w, or 1000w and growing all my plants at once. I like the monthly advantage cost of a 600w. Apollo 600Watt $120 digital with bulbs on amazon or 1000w for 200 Amazon.com: New Purple Apollo brand 1000w Watt Digital Dimmable Ballast Hydroponic Grow Light System with Cool Tube Reflector and Metal Halide(MH) and High Pressure Sodium(HPS) Light Bulbs, Cord + Yoyo Hanger: Patio, Lawn & Garden i use a time advantage power plan so i found that a 600w light would be at least 55$ a month to run.

Lost of reading on line about sog, lst, nuits ect but I am looking for the most crop, I choose this over quality as i feel my setup will overall produce good bud regardless of the finer lines of how to grow the plant and training. my 3rd post and i've been lurking for 2 years!

I am open to everyone opinion and years of exp doing this. i will be starting this next week and looking for clones :)

Nice man, my set-up is pretty basic, 2'x2'x4.5' mylar grow tent, I have a 250w MH/HPS light with a lumatek digital dimmer ballast. Got a 200cfm fan and phresh carbon filter/scrubber exhausting all the stank and hot air out of my tent.

My temps are always a problem since I don't have ac or cool air being pushed into my tent, but I'm able to cool it down to 80-85 with fans going all the time, if my apartment is really hot maybe 87, but then I can lower my wattage with the dimmer, it's on 'super lumens' now...my plants seem to love the higher temps though.

I have done lst, tried a little scrog my last grown, and so far I liked scrog the best, even though I couldn't fully scrog since the space I had my last grow was very small and compact. You can check it out if you want here...http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-g...bblelicious-scrog-journal-3.html#post14928099
My current grow/set up is the link down in my sig, feel free to check it out if you'd like to get an idea of my set-up.

I use the fox farm ocean forrest line of nutrients, but I'm thinking about brewing organic teas for my next grow. I know there are better nutes specifically for hydro, this is where I'm not much help though. I do however foliar feed my plants Dutch Masters Liquid Light/Penetrator, I like this combination, check them out!

  5. Good looking bud off the first harvest, and the second looks allot more promising. How'd you get your seeds and or clones?

I have complicated 5x5 or 4x8 grow rooms, or other setups with a secondary area for my vegging outside in the normal room.

  6. Thank you, managing a 150w hps in a small cab was super difficult...this tent takes all the hard work out of it almost. I can let my plants grow without having them out-grow their space.

I get my seeds from attitude seeds, they have been super reliable, just got my last order in fact, have ordered from them 5 or 6 times, have about 75+ seeds from a bunch of breeders, Reserva Privada, DNA Genetics, Barneys Farm, Nirvana, G13 labs, to name a few. They always hook you up with free seeds to, or you spend a certain amount and they'll throw in some fem seeds for ya. Spent $180 my last order, got 9 seeds for free...can't beat it.

Well if you run the set-up with a separate veg and flower space you can have a perpetual grow going, maybe have a mother room too, clone her forever and ever, till you get bored.

  7. thanks, probably go with them then already looking at them. Anyone have seeds to recommend from them? Looking for most bud per sq foot plant or high yielding strong potency plant. Always liked durban, northern, master kush, chem dog, sour d ect

I am wanting to do a perpetual grow unless i can be convinced to do it differently. though I am just to indecisive and need to make a plan and order it all!

As far as what to grow, it sounds like you're doing photoperiod instead of auto flower. I really like G-13 labs Pineapple Express...you can find a ton of those grow on here and on other forums, everyone raves about the strain...cheap beans and fast growing. I grew mine with CFL's, but next round will be 250w hps in 5 gal containers, really liked that strain.

Also Nirvana Blue Mystic, and Bubblicious they are some good strains. I'm smoking my bubble. now, very hard hitting fr the first 2-4 hours then mellows out. Or you can get some more expensive beans which I just picked up my last order. Got some DNA Genetics 'LA Confidential' Reserva Privada 'Skywalker OG' 'Purple Wreck', some others, and Serious Seeds 'AK 47' very excited for this one. Dinafem has some good cheap beans with massive yields as well...I recommend you find some you like on the 'Tude and go on the forums and just find people smoke reports on your top 10 strains, and read the ease of growing..see what you want, that's what I do, and haven't been let down yet.

Thanks for the seed help, talking to someone that has bought from the same supplier is always nice to know they are reliable and fast.

Anyone have suggestion for type of hydro, i was debating a ebb and grow or a DWC or a recirculating dwc.

Also had the idea to put 2-4 plants into the same reservoir but then i would be controlling xx amount of resinous water instead of 1 tank.

  10. rDWC

ChemDog is a big yielder! I had it in a run of mine and it was twice the size as all my others and is a pretty good smoke!

    edit:

I believe the "r" stands for recirculating

  11. Well, local growers might have convinced me to do 3 sets of 4. 1 set veg 3+ weeks 1 set stage one of nuits in flower and 1 set stage 2 flower nuits. t5 veg, and sperate 4,6, or even 100 for the two veg tables. $ is semi a factor for startup, i do plan to upgrade what ever setup down the road.

ebb and flow i suppose wins my choices?

I was told general hydroponic nuits to start with and go from there on the second round of plants.

Grower said he pulls 1lb off every month with his setup continuously with 12 plants like i want to do. This is exactly the mark i want to be at. He how ever uses 1, 1000w lights.

  12. There is no best size for ebb and flow. It depends on how much light you have and the area you are trying to cover.

  13. change of plans.

Going to use Storage Totes 3(with 4 pots each) or 4(with 3 pots each).

Each Tote will have a hole cut for the pots to site 1/4 - 1/3 way into them.

Pots will have hydroten rock with rockwhool clones

I will have pump in the bottom, with water/nuit supply.

Water line from pump through each pot.

    Air Pump in each Tote

    1000W Light for flower

400w or 600w or T5 Light for veg

    My questions:
I want to ask, how many gallons per hour for 3 or 4 plants?

Then my next question is still pot size? for thes plants? I am told i can trim roots? I dont like the idea.

Light/Nuit Cycle for veg and flower. This would be 12 week cycle... I would like a shorter flowering plant but don't know which.
Veg 3-4 or maybe shortly longer if I have a short Flower period.
Would i have a larger yeild going this way with shorter flower plant and veg it longer??

I was suggested to use general hydroponics(3 bottle/part) any of you fellas have exp using these and have suggestions on amount and or addatives?

    3-4 week veg 24/7
    wk1 Nuit Setup?
    wk2
    wk3
    wk4
    ^^^ Container 1

    7-9 week Flower 12/12
    wk1 Nuit Setup?
    wk2
    wk3
    ^^^ Container 2
    wk4 Nuit Setup?
    wk5
    wk6
    ^^^ Container 3
    wk7 Nuit Setup?
    wk8
    wk9 flush
    ^^^ Container 4

Thanks for all the help, I will turn this into my thraed once i purchace and start peacing things together :)
