Pot cake (first attempt)

    So i just made pot oil for the first time ever and used it to make up a cake (German Chocolate) that I'm not gonna frost. It's for me and my friends to enjoy during a smoke session or just whenever.

    Since I've never made pot oil, I don't know if I did it right, but after mixing up the batter for the cake, it tasted really heavily like pot.

    So I have a few questions and will post back on how they turn out (and post pics if i cna get my camera working!)

    Questions:

    How long do you normally have the pot in the oil? I had mine in on a double boiler for like...an hour....is that normal?

    Should the batter taste a lot like pot?
