Lol, why thank you =) In terms of the light lines thing, I think you're sort of half right. I actually try to do a series of quick lines before I commit to one big dark line, but I think I adhere too strongly to those first quick strokes. And I have no confidence when I first touch the pencil to the paper. I'm always apprehensive about making that first stroke. I need to draw every day, then at least I would build up the confidence to practice more. And it's exactly like music. My mother and my boyfriend are both musicians, so that's something I can totally relate too. Thanks for the advice and the compliment =)
