I live in Southern California and I've been growing no-till outdoor for 3 years. This year i grew my plants using almost strictly tap water with the exception of a few kelp juice waterings during early veg. The large plant was a bag seed that was found randomly on a table, it was about 6 feet tall and it gave me just under 5 units. The buds were slightly purple and super dense. Multiple people told me it smelt exactly like fruity pebbles so that's what I called it. I trained the plant but didn't remove any leaves or branches unless they were already falling off. I didn't have any problems at all with this plant. This plant was much smaller. It was a Gorilla Glue cross that I named Gas Pedal because it smells like feet dipped in fuel. It was about 3 feet tall and it gave me just over half a unit. It's an Indica dominant hybrid and my personal favorite. These buds were dense but slightly less than my other strain. I let this plant grow almost completely on its own. I didn't take off any leaves and two weeks from harvest I noticed a rotting leaf hadn't fallen off the main trunk and it was causing stem rot. I assume it's caused by overwatering and lack of airflow because I stopped training the plant before flower. I have tried to battle stem rot in the past but I only slowed it down. I decided to leave it and hope the buds would mature before the rot started to affect the plants health. Luckily they finished in time.
How does one come to know what "feet dipped in fuel" smells like? Just messin... Those shots came out very beautiful! That deep color is very nice.
