Hello all, I wanted to start a thread for all that like to question things, analyze and observe things whether its a object, humans, music, etc. Go ahead and post. I'll go first. Here is what I notice between the two sexes of male and female. I notice that with the male species, even though they're friendly, I still sense some kind of tension. With the females species they're nice but what I notice is they seem to have an superficial perspective by observing other people's clothes, facial structure, bodies for a compare/contrast but why is that? How would you explain the behavior of these two species?
A lot are grown that way. Because they are told to care about their clothes, facial structure etc, it is only natural that they look for that in their future mates. One could argue that in this male dominated world and according to your observation, us males are the ones who are superficial.
Because at the end of the day we are animals. Animals compete. Not to mention modern day society is bullshit and society says we are supposed to be skinny and look good and have better clothes than the next person. Making us all superficial and shitty selfish fucking horrendous people. Society is bullshit. FUCK SOCIETY!
It's all traceable back to our more primal past. Females are generally more finely tuned to social structures and physical appearances as this formed a lot of the groundwork for their former (and arguably current) existance - both genders have tendencies towards behaviour patterns that are not as relevant in modern days. Men, on the other end of the scale, get huge thrills out of dominating other men in competition, as this triggers the little weirdo primal part of our brain that associates this winning with getting to spread more seed. Into like. Women's vaginas. It's fascinating stuff, deciphering why we are as we are. I can't say I have any real answers. Why are women better at deciphering body language, for example? Did some googling, harvard owning shit up. Anyways, as to my personal theories, I'm a big believer in spreading good vibes, as hippy as that sounds. If you're nice and complementary to the people around you (compliments are so fucking rare unless you're trying to get laid), that shit'll bounce back on you. Simple things like looking the cashier at the grocery store in the eye and smiling as you thank them, that shit can reach far. Over the last couple of years (thanks, weed) I've begun earnestly complimenting friends and family, going out of my way to do small nice things and say nice things to people even in situations where it's a little socially uncalled for. Those good vibes have been bouncing back to me a lot. Feels good.
@Pulsewidth: Interesting point. Since from they were little, mothers are told that their daughters need to stay exactly in the feminine range such as dresses, makeup, watching Disney movies telling them they are princesses which influences the behavior of princess syndrome and what's lady-like and what's not. Same with fathers telling their sons they need to do things that a majority of men. What the parents don't notice is that they don't have to be exactly like the typical female or male, interests grow when they get older. Society is composed of government, education, sometimes religion, culture and from different societies come different standards. However from looking at the U.S., the U.S. has high standards such as being rich for higher status, females need to stay skinny for attraction purposes, following trends of the latest etc. But in other countries, some societies aren't all that demanding and high maintenance, but they live in a good life. Do you think there's a difference in that?
a difference in what? societies between countries? obviously there is. fuck western society, all about looks, riches, and material bullshit. go east and it becomes more about inner happiness, family, and everything else that is so much more important in living a fulfilled, happy life. happiness isnt being skinny, nor being rich. you'll always want more at the end of the day and thats not happiness. alwyas wanna be skinnier... richer... want a newer car.. whatever. this is why i wanna become a buddhist and go live as a monk in Thailand.
Great points you put out there, Viking. So it travels back to the caveman days, that Women were the "prize" for whoever can capture and win their heart similar for a person racing for money, the same goes for the male species instinct trying to win. Does this have to with the ego? For females, isn't their purpose to attract mates from the other species with feminine clothes to show their assets (boobs, ass, legs) which seems to drive men crazy but if they didn't have no clothing, would they get the same reaction? On body language? So women seem to be experts on deciphering body language but isn't that also related to emotional behavior as well in which they are masters of? It's great that you send positive vibes from one to another, I also try to myself one way or another.
how many species do you know of where its the womans purpose is to attract mates? in most its the men who's job it is to court
Western societies is shallow indeed, we can't be truly comfortable in our individuality. Nothing wrong with consuming things but let me rephrase this popular quote "We use money we don't have to buy things we don't need to impress people we don't even like". Makes sense, doesn't it? Great you found your goal, mines is to get a cultural experience from traveling.
Yeah that's true, it's the male job to win the female. Just like in clubs, men compete with each other to get the hottest girl in the club because they all want to fuck her but the female can tell obvious body language but the ones that doesn't show the slight predictability have a chance. Guess it's all a game after all.
