Post-Hardcore

Discussion in 'Music genres, Bands and Artists' started by Ryan Donnelly, Oct 24, 2012.

  1. Is anyone here a fan of this genre? I've been really getting into bands like Pierce The Veil, Emarosa, Isles & Glaciers, Dance Gavin Dance, etc.

also can anyone recommend any more good post-hardcore bands?

  2. diggin we came as romans

  3. Check out memphis may fire, A day to remember, Asking alexadria, like moths to flames, the word alive

  4. Also check out Betraying the Martys, not post-hardcore but check em

  5. Drive Like Jehu, the best post-hardcore band. Check Yank Crime out, classic album.

i like some post hardcore, shit like at the drive in
don caballero are also great (dunno if their post hardcore?)

also june of 44, rodan, unwound, shipping news all that good shit, like in the post above^

...as for that scene shit (for lack of better words), i think its pretty unfortunate that kind of music is associated with post hardcore at all. no offence
    but ukno whatever...

  7. Shit yeah, Unwound and Rodan are both incredible. Leaves Turn Inside You is what got me back out of a music rut a few years ago when I first discovered it. So fresh amongst all the stagnation.

  8. too true, i got hooked on unwound when i heard meet the plastics on youtube, got a real subtle charm to it.

No. None of those bands are post hardcore.

Again, that's disgusting trendy scene shit, not post hardcore.
